Live Wires, a famous band from Karachi, Pakistan, are back with a new rendition of their signature song 'Nai Umangain' (New Aspirations). From their first album, this song held a positive and revolutionary message during a very dark time in Pakistan. The original song was released about 30 years ago, and was much ahead of its time. It contained a very courageous message in a period of great upheaval and uncertainty. Encouraging people to think differently, beyond their prejudices, it pushed them to envision a new world based on a grassroots movement created by a group of engineering students. The echoes of this new way of progressive thinking still reverberates in Pakistani pop music, and is more relevant now than ever before: think freely, fight for your rights, speak up, free your mind, live and let live and ONE love!
